"This is Link a 2-year-old Airedale-German Shepherd mix weighing 65 pounds. He is very observant and is more than happy to sit and watch everything going on around him. He also LOVES to play with other dogs, although his playfulness is sometimes seen as agression if he pounces and barks (the pouncing is pretty regular but the barking is rare). He has tons of energy but is for the most part calm and laid back. He loves long hikes, camping and water. He is very agile and loves to jump on rocks. He is not afraid of anything. We often take him to the playgrounds and down the slides on our neighborhood walks. He's not too much of a fetcher, but loves toys. He is very good indoors and loves just being in which ever room you are in."

The Airedale Shepherd is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Airedale Terrier and the German Shepherd Dog. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
