Buddy the American Eagle Dog (American Eskimo / Beagle hybrid dog)
"This is my American Eskimo / Beagle mix at about 8 months old. He is a great dog named Kirby. He was born on Valentine’s Day and I bought him as a gift for myself. Kirby loves to play outside; he is very socialized with other dogs and children. He is very well behaved, most of the time! Kirby loves rawhide chewies and loves hiding them around the yard even more. When we play fetch he gallops to the toy and the last stride is always pouncing on top of it; it's very amusing to watch. Some of his bad traits are chewing and digging. To keep him from being naughty I exercise him regularly starting with a walk in the AM and PM, playing in or outside as well as playing with other dogs. Then he's too tired to get into trouble! I have applied some of Caesar Millan's tricks in training starting with the infamous Beagle bark. Anytime he would bark or would not listen to commands I would give a gentle tap on the side of his neck to "snap" him out of whatever he was focused on. I had great results and he never barks and I have not used a shock collar. Also when we walk I keep him close and do not let him pull me around. I find from the beginning of training you just have to be consistent and they learn very fast. In all I feel any type of mixed breed makes the best pet!"
"This is our baby, Dolly. She is an American Eagle hybrid dog. She is super friendly to everyone. She's 3 years old and a rescue. Pretty chill, and doesn't play a whole bunch but a GREAT family pet. We love her to death."

Shambles, the American Eagle Dog at 1½ years old—"Her mom was an Eskie and her dad was the Beagle. She very much has a half-and-half mixture of the personalities of the two dogs."

Missy the American Eagle Dog at 10 years old—"Missy is 50% American Eskimo dog and 50% Beagle. I met the mother of Missy's litter and confirmed the Eskie through DNA testing. She was a big digger in her younger years, loves snow and cold weather, rarely barks unless the door bell rings, and is somewhat stand offish with strangers. She has a double coat that she blows twice a year and sheds fairly heavily constantly throughout the year. She's had very little health problems and no joint problems. She's 25lbs."
