"I am a volunteer at the local shelter and we had about 5 Appenzellers surrendered to us. The breeder did not fully think over the idea of breeding these dogs. Due to the economy and lack of knowledge of the dog, no one was interested in them. We had one adult named Jack and four puppies, three of which will be sent in the pictures, Ruby, Ross and Snowshoe. The other puppy did not get his pictures taken."
