Pandi Bear the Bichon-A-Ranian at 2 years old—"My wife found a photo of Pandi and her littermates in the local Sunday paper. She put her finger through the paper in glee saying, "that's the puppy I saw in my dream last night...black & white"! We contacted the breeder that day and drove over to see Pandi. She was about 2 months old when we brought her home. She is an absolute joy. Smart as can be, doesn't bark, runs like a rabbit, follows hand commands in the field, fetch's my short chip shots. To funny!"
The Bichon-A-Ranian is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Pomeranian. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
