The Cheenese is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Chihuahua and the Havanese. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
Havanese / Chihuahua mix puppy—"We bred a male Havanese to a female Chihuahua to produce what we call a Havahuahua. We absolutely love our Havanese as well as our Chihuahua, and feel that the Havahuahua will be the best of both worlds. These pups have a coat like a Havanese, making them non-shedding, and the smaller size of a Chihuahua—they should be 6 -7 pounds as adults. VERY friendly and outgoing!"
