"Milu the Papshund is a very playful and friendly dog that gets along with just about anyone and anything. She lives with another dog (a Boxer,) and a cat. She's 1 year old and spayed, and her only somewhat bad habits are that she has a tendency to try to eat anything. She doesn't usually just chew up whatever falls in her mouth, but if she gets a stuffed toy or something she will chew it until it is gutted and then attempt to eat it. I would say she is a very socially apt dog. Her grooming is pretty simple, she has minimal shedding despite her long coat, and I bathe her usually about once a month. She's an inside dog, but we do have a yard she uses. I brush her probably once a week or so; her hair doesn't really mat at all. She is long like a Doxie, but her legs are also longer like a Doxie, but her legs are also longer like a Papillon's (which means she can jump mile high), and her tail is very long and curls up. She is not very vocal, she will rarely bark out of frustration, never really at people or loud noises. She is constantly trying to lick everyone, and is a HUGE cuddle bug."
The Papshund is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Papillon and the Dachshund. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
