Daisy May, the Shinese (Pekingese / Shih Tzu mix breed dog) at 7 months old.
The Shinese is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Pekingese and the Shih Tzu. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Bear the Shinese (Pekingese / Shih Tzu mix breed dog) at 8 months old—his owner says, "He is a Pekinese / Shih Tzu mix, otherwise known as a Shinese. He weighs 10 pounds 7 ounces and is believed to be just about full grown. He is a very intelligent, laidback and extremely friendly pup who enjoys long walks, playing dress-up and traveling in my pocketbook. As you can see, he also enjoys posing for the camera! He is more Pekingese in his face with Shih Tzu hair (although it has remained short, it is extremely soft)."
