Collectable Vintage Collie Dogs

For your enjoyment only. This is my own personal vintage dog figurine collection. They are not for sale.

The left side of a brown and white Collie dog figurine in a lying down pose. The figurine has small black eyes for circles.

Pictured is a rare vintage trademark 1 (TMK-1) Goebel crown mark figurine of a brown and white collie dog in a lying down pose. The nose, nails and eyes are black. Judging by the crown mark logo on the bottom the figurine was made between 1935 and 1949. The crown mark is the very first trademark (TMK-1) the Goebel company used on their figurines. It is the symbol of a crown; under the crown are the letters W and G overlapping one another. On this figurine it appears in an incised engraving. There is also a green stamp that reads Germany, an engraving that reads C.H. 124.1 and an engraving that reads Dep.. It measures 2 1/2 inches tall from the ground to the top of the ear, 5 inches long from the front paws to the base of the tail and 2 inches wide across the bottom from hip to tail.

Pictured is a mini West Germany TMK-6 rough coated Collie dog by Goebel. This is one of the smallest Goebel figurines I have come across. It is only 1 1/2 inch tall from the ground to the top of the ears, 1 1/2 inch long from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail and 1/2 inch wide from hip to hip. It is a glossy little thing done in popular sable and white coat colors. On the bottom is the original silver and blue trademark 6 sticker of the name Goebel with W. Germany below it. This dates the figurine between 1979 and 1990.

This is the retired miniature Hagen-Renaker Collie dog, which was named “New Collie.” It is by artist Robert McGuinness. It is item number A-3237 and was first put on the HR line in 1997 and later retired in 2007. It has rich shades of brown with a tan chest and a white snoot and tail. Hagen-Renaker hand paints all of their figurines so colors do vary slightly from piece to piece. This one is still attached to the original card. It measures about 1 1/4 inch tall from the ground to the tip of the ear, 2 1/4 inch long from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail and 3/4 inch wide across the front of the chest. Made in the USA
