This is a porcelain German Shepherd Dog figurine by Goebel. This piece is from the 1970s. It has the trademark 5 (TMK5) logo on the bottom of the bee inside the V above the 'bel' in the name Goebel. Below that it reads W. Germany. This indicates the figurine was made between 1972 and 1978. There is also an engraving of a number that is hard to make out. Here is my best guess as to what the numbers are: 3863712. It has the typical markings of a GSD, black, tan and white. The eyes are squinting, the mouth is open and the tongue is hanging out. The tail is down in a relaxed pose. It stands 5 1/4 inches from the ground to the tip of the ear, 7 inches long from the tip of the tail to the tip of the tongue and 1 1/5 inch wide across the front chest.

Vintage porcelain German Shepherd Dog by Goebel—this is a very realistic looking piece hand painted in a matte finish. The only glossy areas of the dog are the eyes and the nose. On the bottom is a number that reads 063774. I am unable to make out the very first number or perhaps it is a letter. There is a silver and blue Goebel sticker on the bottom of the bee inside the V above the 'bel' in the name Goebel. Below that it reads W. Germany. This is what collectors call the trademark 5 (TMK-5) logo. This fellah stands 5 inches tall from the ground to the top of the ears, 6 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide.

Pictured is a rare Goebel double crown mark Shepherd dog made between 1935 and 1949. The crown mark is the very first trademark (TMK-1) the Goebel company used on their figurines. It is the symbol of a crown; under the crown are the letters W and G overlapping one another. A double crown mark means the mark appears twice on the same piece. This one has the mark stamped in blue and an incised mark. On the bottom in addition to the double crown mark is an engraving that reads CH 203. This Shepherd dog is in a sitting pose with its tail wrapped around to the front. The body is brown with a white underbelly. The ears are perked and the pink tongue is hanging out making it look like the dog is smiling. There is black outlining the ears, eyes and mouth. The nose and the toenails are black. It measures 6 5/8 inches from the ground to the tip of the ear, 4 inches long across the bottom from the front paw to the back of the tail and 2 1/2 inch wide from the hip to the side of the tail.

This is a vintage Shepherd dog made in East Germany. On the bottom is a blue stamp of a crown with something under it that I cannot make out. There is also a number engraving. Half of the number is covered by the sticker that reads Made in East Germany. The last three numbers are visible but I was able to find the same figurine on eBay where the numbers were all showing. They read 18038. The figurine is of a Shepherd type dog in a lying down pose with a glossy finish. It measures 4 1/2 inches tall from the ground to the tip of the ear, 7 1/2 inches long from the tip of the paw to the base of the tail and about 3 inches wide across the bottom hip area.
