Ted (aka Teddy) the Wel-Chon at 10 months old (Bichon / Welsh Terrier hybrid)—"He’s a great little dog, if a bit of a handful at times. One of the things I get a kick out of is his coat. He’s mostly silky, fluffy fur but sprinkled in the teeniest bit are the wiry hairs of the Welsh Terrier. He likes to dig and seems to be quite a little hunter (mostly mice)."
The Wel-Chon is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Welsh Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
