Seymore the Brusston full grown—"Seymore's father is a Griffon and mother a Boston Terrier. He has the temperament of the mix. Not as needy as a Griff yet not a runner like a Boston. He looks like a bunny rabbit! Everyone who meets him asks me where they can get one. He really is the best dog I have ever owned."
The Brusston is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Boston Terrier and the Brussels Griffon. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Bazooka the Brusston at 1 year old—"Love those hybrid dogs! Let me tell you about my Bazooka. He is a year old and came from a breeder in Ohio. She told me her neighbor's Boston Terrier got out of the yard and before she knew it her (smooth coated) Brussels Griffon was pregnant. She sold about 5 of these "Boston Griffons" and I chose him because of his uncanny resemblance to a baby Boxer."

Bigalow the Brusston (Boston Terrier / Brussels Griffon mix) at 2 years old—"I got him from a rescue in Red Deer, Alberta. He is smart, loyal and loves attention. When we're driving he can't understand why I'm not looking at him. Every morning we go to a park near here where he runs off leash with a group we meet every day. Usually 8-10 dogs of all sizes. I have to keep a close eye on him because there are coyotes and cougars and other wild animals. His Border Collie brother takes good care of him too. They love each other. He sleeps under the covers with me at night. He tolerates the 4 cats but doesn't like to share me with them. He is my first small dog and my life revolves around him. I'm retired so we are always together, I have separation anxiety when I'm away from him. He's my baby."
