"This is Rowdy, our Black and Tan Coonhound when he was about two months old. I could not resist taking his picture when he was so proud of himself looking like a big dog, sitting on daddy's lap. He loves being a lap dog."
"Rowdy does not realize he is a big dog now. He weighs in at about a hundred pounds and is eighteen months old in this picture, still a puppy in dog years, but a teenager in his actions and thinking. He thinks he is a little boy and wants his daddy's full time attention, which he usually gets by crawling up in his lap."
"When Rowdy is tired of that he crawls up on any piece of furniture he chooses to and takes a nap. I finally gave up on trying to make him stay off the furniture and simply covered it all up with throws. He sneaks up there when he thinks no one is looking or will catch him, or when we are gone."
"Rowdy really needed a nap after he worked so hard carrying out and chewing up half the stuff I had stored in the room going out to the yard and forgot to shut the door. After he does something like this he is so proud of himself. It's like, "see what I've done?" I run for the camera every time he pulls one of these tricks because he is so happy to show us his latest accomplishment with such total innocence."
