Alaskan Weimsky

Alaskan Husky / Weimaraner Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

A large breed golden orange colored dog with yellow eyes and large ears with the left one flopped down and the right ear standing up, outside in the woods

"This is Scooby Doo who lives in Sweden. He is a 6-month-old mix between Weimaraner and Alaskan Husky. He has a lot of energy, is very kind and patient with children, follows us like a "real" Weimaraner wherever we go and hardly barks at all like a "real" husky. He only barks when he gets very excited (maybe once a week:). We got him as a replacement when he was three months old, since the previous owners found him too wild. With the proper amount of exercise however he is a great dog. We plan to try sledding with him as soon as the snow comes."

Description

The Alaskan Weimsky is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Alaskan Husky and the Weimaraner. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
