Zippy reminds me of Spencer when he was a puppy the way she reacts to certain things. Like doorways, open car doors and moving objects she has not seen before. She will often stop and look at me and sometimes ask to be picked up. The day we found a big black bag four times her size blowing in the wind she stopped and just stared at it, not sure what to do.
When we got closer it was not so scary anymore. She gave it a good sniff.
One thing we are going to have to work on for sure is crossing streets. When Zip sees an moving car heading in her direction she often just stops. She will stand there and look at me. Problem is often times this is in the middle of the road or parking lot in direct line of the massive moving object heading her way, the car.
There was someone getting out of that black car. Instead of continuing to walk she just stopped and watched.
With a little encouragement she started walking again.
This is what Zip does when she wants me to pick her up. She gets close to my legs, sits down and looks at me.
Zippy is unsure about a lot of things, but not toilets. She has a fascination with the flush. She runs over to watch.
Zippy seems to be a natural born heeler. I never taught her this, she follows behind me. If I stop she stops. Time will tell if she keeps this up.
