Taylor Sniff the Beagle / Dalmatian mix breed dog at 2 years old—"Taylor is a very laid back great family dog, good with children of all ages and all animals. She is very smart. She has some separation anxiety. She was super easy to potty train, playful when you want her to be, but content laying in bed with you all day. She can be very stubborn when it comes to listening. We use the counting method with her as most people may do with their children. She responds great to that (1,2,3) but we never have to get to 3, because I start feeling more serious when I say number 2 and she knows it. Loves to watch squirrels all day long, and trys to catch them but of course has never succeeded. No prey drive towards chickens or ducks, so probably wouldn't make a good hunter."
The Beaglemation is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Dalmatian and the Beagle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
