Information and Pictures

A tricolor tan, black and white dog with tan and black ticking spots on her body laying down

Patsy the Border Collie / Bluetick Coonhound mix breed dog at 9 months old after a haircut—"Patsy is my pups name. She loves to play with toys and chew on rawhides. She has never been destructive when left alone or any other time. She is very protective over her surroundings. I have found that if she does not already like you and/or another dog she never will. She is aggressive towards other dogs if she does not know them. She acts like a guard dog. She is very very smart and a fast learner. I see a lot of coonhound in her and a lot of Border Collie too! She has a unique voice and cry. She is above all a great dog."

Description

The Border Bluetick Collie is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Border Collie and the Bluetick Coonhound. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
