I walked out onto the deck and saw this little bird laying down belly up. I thought it was dead. It was a juvenile blue grosbeak. The poor thing had flown into the sliding glass door knocking itself out. I bent down to remove it from the deck before the dogs decided to play with it when I noticed it was breathing. I stood it back on its feet and to my surprise it sat up. It seemed disoriented. The bird just stood there watching. Its head did not move, but it's eyes followed me. The dogs were behind me but did not pay any mind to the bird and the bird did not appear to be afraid of the dogs. I took some pictures and called the dogs back inside. A half hour later I went back out to check on the bird and it was gone. The bird must have regained its composure and flew away.
