"Moe is my Golden Retriever / Jack Russell Terrier mix breed puppy shown here at 5 months old. He is a very sweet and playful little guy. He has the body of a Jack Russell and the face and tail of a Golden Retriever. The cutest mix I've ever seen."
The Golden Jack Retriever is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Golden Retriever and the Jack Russell Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
"This is Moe at 9 months old. He has the body of a Jack Russell, very lean and muscular. But his face, tail and hair is of the Golden Retriever. He's very hyper and full of energy, stubborn (Jack Russell) but then he's turns into snuggle me love me and let's play fetch quickly. He's a handful but loved immensely."
