Elvis the Redtick Coonhound, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Labrador Retriever, and Great Dane mix breed dog at 3 years old—"Elvis was a rescue dog from South Carolina that I have adopted. I knew as soon as I met him that I wanted him. He ran up to me and put his big paws on my shoulders and started licking my face. He is the sweetest dog I have ever been around and has a great personality. He loves to play with his stuffed animals and carries them around like they are his children. We go on long walks, runs, and hikes together and love to relax at night on the couch. He has great energy and lots of it, but lets me know when it is time to layback and watch some T.V. He carries the traits of all three breeds of dogs. He walks, looks, and uses his nose like a hound. Points with his legs like a Lab and has the leg structure of a Great Dane. I feel that he is the perfect brother to me because he is very energetic and outgoing with a personality that will warm anyone's heart. He gets plenty of daily exercise. When I come home from classes he is always waiting at the door for me. I feel that he is perfectly balanced because he is happy with everything. He loves to play and go for hikes, but is just as happy to be lazy and relax. He gets along perfectly with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. The only issue I have encountered is his desire to smell out prey and hunt, but I knew this would be one of his main traits when I adopted him. He has the most adorable face and it's easy to fall in love with him from just looking at his eyes. I hope this will open other people's hearts to hound/mutt breeds."
