Penny the Pug at 9 years old—Pugs are prone to weight gain and can very easily become fat. To tell if your dog is overweight, look down on him or her from above. There should be a well-defined waist line. If your dog's waist only goes in slightly or not at all, chances are your dog could stand to lose a few pounds. Since it is the owners who provide the food, it is the humans’ fault if the dog is overweight.

"We got Fenway 11 years ago after researching on your website and she has been amazing! She has such a gentle disposition and really has been great with my kids, even when they were in the toddler stage!! Although she is blind and diabetic, and requires 2 insulin shots a day, it has not changed her a bit...she is as wonderful as ever!"
