Dash the Whipador (Whippet / Labrador Retriever mix) at 2 years old—"Dash is a Lab Whippet mix (Whipador!) and his most prominent mannerisms and traits are certainly that of a Whippet even though his coloring is clearly that of yellow Lab. He's always the fastest dog at the park, but he strongly prefers no swimming! Dash's favorite game is chase and he only loves toys if he can use them to taunt others to chase him. He loves soft surfaces (couches, pillows, blankets etc) and sits on his back on the couch, almost like his humans. He hates bathing, but loves the towel treatment afterward. If you're unfamiliar with Whippet sleeping positions, we recommend you search Instagram for them because they're hilarious!"

Description

The Whipador is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Whippet and the Labrador Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
