Information and Pictures

"I would love to share my Pomeranien / Border Collie mix. Oreo’s mother was a Border Collie and father was a Pomeranian. The litter had three puppies. They are about 12 inchs tall and weigh 15-25 lbs. All were adorable with the Border Collie markings. Good with children and love to play. They have an undercoat of fur that keeps them extra warm in the winter. They love the snow and cold weather. Oreo will just sit or lay down in the snow to be outside. She loses some hair before the summer and needs grooming. She also loves to play with water to cool off in the summer. She is a protective watch dog who is suspicious of strangers. This mix is very active, needs exercise, and attention every day. Oreo is so intelligent that she will accomplish any task or trick for a treat."

Description

The Border Pom is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Border Collie and the Pomeranian. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
