Italian Border Greyollie

Italian Greyhound / Border Collie Mixed Breed Dogs

Information and Pictures

Two lean dogs, one tan and white and one black and white, with large ears, almond shaped eyes, black noses, long muzzles laying down on a wooden deck dressed in a Halloween costume with a jack-o'-lantern face behind them

"These are our two dogs who we think are absolutely incredible. I've been asked a hundred times what kind of dog they are because they resemble a small Whippet, but have distinctly different features. They are a cross between an Italian Greyhound (male) and a Border Collie (Female)."

Other Names
  • Italian Border Collie
Description

The Italian Border Greyollie is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Italian Greyhound and the Border Collie. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"They are very well mannered, not nervous, very loving and very energetic. They have the intelligence of the Border Collie and the speed of a Greyhound. They weigh about 35 pounds, and all muscle. They have made great pets and learn very quickly."

"We got these two boys from a litter of five puppies. This was indeed a "mistake" litter, but we think they are incredible."
