"This is Harley as a 3 month old puppy. His parents were Dixie, a female American Pit Bull Terrier and Elvis, a male Jack Russell Terrier. He was the first born of six puppies. He seems to be taking after his father and loves to run and play as soon as he wakes up. He already knows to bark when he needs or wants to go out. We have a fenced yard that all three of our dogs love to play in, and he will stand at the door and bark when he wants in. He seems to be like his mom and dad when it comes to people, they all will play with anyone."

Description

The Jack Pit is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Pit Bull and the Jack Russell Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
