Candie and Charley the Pembroke Welsh Corgis—"These are examples of Tricolor corgis and both are AKC registered, backyard bred. Candie is the smaller of the two. She is like a miniature at 14 pounds. She got a new Corgi brother who was supposed to remain around 20 pounds, the runt of the litter. As you can see, he quickly surpassed 20 and rounded out at 35 pounds. Candie was originally from a backyard breeder and has a cautious, shy demeanor. She is so cute and cuddly, and little kids are drawn to her. Charley was intended to spice up Candie's life, which he has done in droves. He is big and bossy and loves to "watchdog". If you don't like a barking dog, don't get a Corgi. Charley loves little kids and has been climbed on by babies. He loves to retrieve a ball or stuffed animal, and he loves to eat. Like most corgis, both can be nippy at my heels if I race across the room, and Charley especially has a strong herding drive. Corgis are generally pleasers, easy to train, easy to housebreak, and easy to keep clean. Charley watches me all day, waiting for his next command, while over the course of 8 years, Candie has learned the command to "sit"."
