A tricolor hound looking dog sitting in front of a bay window

Missy Moo the Rat Terrier / Dalmatian mix (Ratmatian) sitting in front of the window looking outside which is her favorite pasttime. Watching people walk by—"Meet my canine daughter... Missy Moo. We named her that due to her looking like a cow. She is our family dog and is loved very much. She is extremely hyper and needs much love and attention. She is very protective over her home and myself. She loves to chase squirrels and my cats. They all get along. We have had her since she was taken from an abused home at the age of 3 months. She was very timid and scared of anyone that came close to her. We took her in and loved her with all we could and we could not ask for a better dog. My husband tells people that we crossbred a dog with a cow and got her. People laugh and say well she does look like a cow color wise."

Description

The Ratmatian is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Rat Terrier and the Dalmatian. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
