Phoenix the Wire Fox Terrier / Min Pin mix (Wire Fox Pinscher) at 12 years old—"He is soooo sweet, he gets comments on his beard everywhere we go. Because of his beard and colors we nicknamed him the sheriff, all he needs is the hat and badge."
The Wire Fox Pinscher is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Wire Fox Terrier and the Min Pin. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
"Tucker at 6 months old—Tuck likes everything, and runs away from you to chase anything moving, super high energy, but cuddly too. He drags our 10-month-old Siamese around by her ears and chases them in play. A rabbit doesn't stand a chance in our yard, and Tuck can climb a semi-slanted tree, then will readily jump into your open arms. Exercise, hmmm, we can't keep up with him and are constantly filling in holes he digs at lightning speeds. All in all, he is a cartoon character come to life haha, never a dull moment. He climbs, too, so we have lost pens, magazines, clothing, shoes, books, apples, oranges, etc . He shreds these things at a rapid speed, shaking his head from side to side. He's part of our family and we love him dearly and expensively, haha. He's great with his crate as well and sits and lays, also jumps through hoops. Yes, he's a smart boy."
