Information and Pictures

A thin, gray and white dog with long hair on his head and legs, a short shaved body, long muzzle, black nose, dark eyes and long prick ears sitting on a maroon bed

"Jynx is an Italian Greyhound / Chinese Crested mix who is absolutely delightful! He is very affectionate and playful, and he makes a great watchdog. He loves to sing to his favorite song, "You Can't Keep a Good Dog Down" from All Dogs go to Heaven. We gave him a haircut in February for Chinese New Year to celebrate his heritage and now two months later it still hasn't grown back!"

Other Names

Description

The Italian Greycrested is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Italian Greyhound and the Chinese Crested. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

"This is my dog Jynx. He's an Italian Greyhound/Chinese Crested mix. I call him my International Greyhound or Toy Lurcher. He's a great dog. He's very sensitive, like an Italian Greyhound, and codependant like a Chinese Crested. He loves to play with our cats and rabbits. He's not much of a hunter unless they run away. He does well most of the time, then he has these lapses where he seems to have never heard of the concept."
