This is Nelson the Boxer / Beagle mix at 5 years old. The owners were moving to Germany and had to get Nelson DNA tested. He looked like a Pitbull Terrier and Pitbulls are banned in Germany. The DNA test came back that he was a Boxer mixed with a Beagle. Many breeds are mistakenly labeled as Pitbulls just because they have big cheeks, a wide forehead and a bully looking face, when in reality they do not have any Pit in them at all.

Description

The Bogle is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Boxer and the Beagle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.
