"I adopted Muggs, a one-year-old Ori Pei from the Humane Society. He is completely housebroken and trustworthy enough to remain out of his crate when home alone. He doesn't even terrorize my cats! He has never had an accident, destroyed a shoe, or barked at passersby w/dogs. His favorite stuffed toys include a smiling carrot, a pink octopus, and a blue fish, respectively. He enjoys riding in the car, going on long walks, and visiting Petco (PetSmart is second favorite). I leave him in the morning with a steak chew, a full bowl of food, and several treats hidden in various places. Yet he doesn't touch it all day. He waits until I come back home to eat regardless of how long I am gone. He is the best dog I've ever had! I named him Muggs because if his under-bite, which makes his muzzle or "mug" extra cute and pronounced."

Sookie the Ori-Pei (Shar-Pei and Pug mix breed dog) at 5 years old—"My husband and I found Sookie at 8 weeks old in a puppy store in Long Island. We weren't planning on adopting a furry child just yet but the second we saw her it was love at first site. We knew we couldn't leave this sweet, beautiful and fun loving girl behind. Her favorite toy is her Kong Wubba. She loves going to the dog park and out running every dog there, and she is always excited to play with kids of all ages and is very gentle with them. She also loves to snuggle and take naps on my lap while I rub her ears."

"My girl Georgie is a 13-year-old Shar-Pei x Pug. Dad was the Shar Pei and mum was the unsuspecting Pug. It was not an intended mating by the lady I bought her from. Four puppies were born—2 looking like my Georgie Girl and the other 2 were curly in a Poodle way and almost black (father was black)."
