Mayzie the female Ori-Pei at 4 years old—"Mayzie is an awesome dog! She's an Ori Pei, which is a Shar Pei and Pug mix. My fiancé and I adopted her from her previous owner who was looking for a better home for her. She has been such an amazing addition to our family. She loves our cats and other dog, my nieces and nephews, and she loves playing with dogs at the dog park. She can be stubborn at times, but she's very smart and knows a few tricks. She's a little weary of strangers, but she warms up after a bit. She's such a gentle dog and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body. She takes treats from your hand so softly. She behaves so well and is calm indoors, but can be so hyper and playful when you want her to be. During the really hot summer months, she doesn't like to do much. She doesn't handle the heat very well and pants a lot. When she plays with other dogs, she snorts and growls playfully. It's pretty funny. We love her so much and we couldn't have asked for a better dog!"
