Blue and Red the standard-sized piebald Dachshunds at 5 years old—"These two are litter mates. They are both males. They spend most of the time together. Their personalities are completely different. Blue is a cuddle bug to all people and female dogs. Red is the protector of his brother and my wife and I."

"Trotsky was rescued from the SPCA as a full-grown dog. I have no idea of his age. Apart from his lovely nature, he has one outstanding feature—his left eye is blue. I have another Doxie, Caspar, whom I bought as a puppy. He is black-and-tan and is 18 months old. I also have two Jack Russells, both rescue dogs from the SPCA. The four dogs are the greatest of friends."
